L. Spearman is a full-service interior design studio based in Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Owner and Principal Designer, Lindsey Spearman enjoys working on all aspects of the design process-from start to finish, whether it’s a new build or a renovation. Lindsey has a passion for designing with purpose as she tailors each space to her client's needs. She loves creating bright spaces that appear fresh and timeless while incorporating a color palette inspired by her coastal surroundings. She enjoys mixing textures and patterns while prioritizing comfort and durability. Ultimately, Lindsey believes that interiors should be lived in and enjoyed. When Lindsey isn’t working she enjoys time on her family’s boat with her husband, Garrison, and three children, Garrison Jr. (8) Wallace (6) and Hughes (2).

How did you get started in Interior Design? What is your background?
I fell in love with architecture and interiors when I was nine years old. My parents encouraged me to pursue my passion for design from an early age. I studied interior design at Auburn University and then had the privilege of training under a few different talented southern interior designers upon graduation.
How would you describe your design aesthetic?
My design aesthetic is very client driven - no two projects are alike. We help our clients express themselves in different ways than they’ve done in the past. I believe in durable interiors that can stand up to the messiness of life while still beautifully capturing your eye. You do not have to sacrifice beauty for function.
What do you love most about including original art in your designs?Artwork is very important to me. It adds a layer and depth to interiors that thoughtfully tie everything together. It’s often the focal point of a design. Original artwork brings me a lot of joy in my personal home as well. It is very important to me to support women artists as a fellow woman-owned business.
What is your favorite room in your own home?
My dining room is my favorite room in my home. Aesthetically, it’s filled with my favorite colors and textures. The natural light pours in beautifully. I have three young boys and time seems to slow down when we are gathered in our dining room for a meal. Getting to hear about their day and the conversations among our family really make for the sweetest of memories.
